ABOUT

Federica Fantini (they/them) is an artist and facilitator who designs and implements interactive installations, workshops and cultural projects to reflect on our relationship to our society and culture.

They are active in different collectives, in an effort to bridge political engagement and art, the private and the public space.

The notions of horizontal organisation, commons, togetherness, hosting and public space are all explored through a practice that gravitates around participatory performance and social experiment.

Federica was born in Turin, Italy, in 1991. She studied Philosophy at the university of Turin and the Freie university in Berlin. Later, they gained their Master's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the university of Leiden, the Netherlands. At the moment, their main focus is on their artistic practice with their passion for foraging and growing edible plants.

They currently live in Brussels in a big house with 6 other humans and 2 chickens.
